Joint multidisciplinary research project in cooperation with Inria Grenoble and CITEC Bielefeld. Funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR), it has started in February 2016 and has a duration time of 36 months.
In a nutshell, CEEGE aims at comparing techniques for mental modelling in their ability to predict expertise and chess games. Mental models will be based on observation of visual attention and physiological parameters of emotion from multi-modal observations of chess players engaged in game. These models will help to specify and measure chess expertise, to detect their individual impairments and offer rigorous and detailed training methods for chess players.
